New for 2010
For 2009 we made some changes to the Greenwave project which greatly improved the accuracy of the important data that you gather when you record your sightings of the six Greenwave species. These changes will be continued this year.
Official Records and Observations
- The biggest change you'll notice is that when you are submitting your sightings we'll be asking you to make one "Official Record" for each of the six species involved in the project. This will help us to improve the accuracy of our reported sightings. You can of course make as many observations as you like, for example to track the transformation of frog spawn into tadpoles and on into full fledged frogs.
- When you go to submit an Official Record we will be doing some basic checks to ensure that the date of submission is not too early or late in the season.
- If we think that the date seems a little earlier than usual we'll give you a gentle reminder to double check your sighting.

Record the Wind
This year we are introducing a new Anemometer task which will allow you to take a simple measurement of the wind speed at your school.
