The rainfall data used in these charts is gathered from Met Éireann. For each day of the project we gather the rainfall figures from each of the 16 weather stations around the country. Using this information we calculate a total for each station for the week which can then be used to calculate the average weekly rainfall for the entire country. Rainfall information will be featured on Greenwave.ie from 2009 onwards. Data from previous years is not available.
